The Refugee Documentation Centre (RDC) are:
Research and Query Service
The RDC provides a specialist research and query service in support of the work of the Legal Aid Board and Department of Justice agencies involved in International Protection cases. The service is also available to solicitors on the Legal Aid Board’s International Protection Solicitors Panel and to barristers who are part of the Legal Aid Board’s International Protection sub-panel for Barristers.
Applications for the Research and Query Service can be made by completing and submitting an RDC Query Form. lease submit the query form to us via the online form or by email to research@legalaidboard.ie
The European Union Agency for Asylum EUAA publishes a selection of anonymised query responses and Country Information Packs completed by the RDC. These can be found at https://coi.euaa.europa.eu/
Country of Origin Information - Training
The RDC provides training in researching Country of Origin Information (COI) to staff of the Legal Aid Board and to staff in Department of Justice agencies involved in international protection work. For further information contact research@legalaidboard.ie
