Official Languages (Amendment) Act 2021

Provisions 4(B)(a) and 4(B)(b) of the Official Languages (Amendment) Act 2021 came into effect on 5 May 2023. As a public body the Legal Aid Board was obliged to (a) appoint, from senior management, another member of staff of the body to oversee the performance of the body’s obligations under this Act and to report to him or her, as appropriate, in relation to the body’s obligations under this Act, and (b) ensure that a summary of any of the matters reported to him or her in accordance with paragraph (a) is included in the annual report of the body concerned.
