Overview
We collect, processes, and stores personal data from service users, private practitioners, staff, and service providers in order to provide legal advice, consultation, mediation, and other services. This data is used for legal advice, consultation, mediation, and corporate services, and is collected and processed manually or electronically, in soft or hard copy format.

Types of Data:We collect various types of personal data, including personal details, special category data, employment information, financial data, and HR information.

Legal Basis:We process data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Irish Data Protection Acts.

Purpose of Processing:The data is used for providing legal advice, consultation, mediation, and corporate services.

Data Protection Policy:We have a Data Protection Policy outlining how personal data is processed, shared, stored, retained, and destroyed, and clarifies the rights of individuals as data subjects, according to Legal Aid Board.
Analysis and Reporting:
- Annual Reports: We are required to produce an annual report and submit it to the Minister for Justice and Equality.
- Statistical Information: We publish monthly statistics on its law centres, including capacity, applications received, waiting times, and referrals.
- Financial Statements: We publish our financial statements annually.
