Data Protection

The Legal Aid Board is committed to protecting the rights and privacy of individuals (known as ‘data subjects’) in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR 2016/679) and Irish Data Protection Acts 1988-2018.  

The Board is committed to the correct, lawful and fair handling of all personal data, respecting the legal rights, privacy and trust of all individuals with whom we deal. It is important that you know why we process your data, the types of data we collect and our legal basis for processing your data. You should also know how your personal information is processed, shared, stored, retained and destroyed.
