Freedom of Information (FOI) Requests

Making a Freedom of Information Request
If you seek records held by the Legal Aid Board, you can make a Freedom of Information request. Here's how:
- Identify the Information: Consider the specific information or
documents you wish to access. The more precise you are, the better we can assist you. - Submit Your Request: You can send your FOI request to us via
email at FOI@LegalAidBoard.ie or by post. - FOI Act: You must state your request is made under the FOI
Act. Please include your contact details and describe the information you seek. - ID Requirement: If you seek access to records which concern
your personal affairs, you may need to provide a copy of photographic ID. - Processing Your Request: We will acknowledge your request upon
receipt and aim to respond within 20 working days.
Please note that certain exemptions may apply, and in some cases, there may be a fee for the processing of your request.
