Our family mediation service offers assistance to all families, including married, cohabiting, and same-sex couples. It provides mediation to families who have undergone a divorce, separation or living apart.

Yes. Mediation only works when both people are willing to take part.

While it depends on your situation, it generally takes 4-6 sessions.

Family mediation helps with four main areas:

  1. Improving communication with the other person. 
  2. Improving the parenting relationship with the other person. 
  3. Understanding and agreeing on financial matters such as budget money and pensions.
  4. Understanding and agreeing on what to do with the family home and other property.

The agreement can be taken to a solicitor to be draw into a deed of separation and/or used as the basis of a court order.

If family mediation doesn't result in agreement, you can still pursue other legal options.
