Our Process
-
- You can apply online below or you can contact your nearest Law Centre about having an application form sent to your address, or download a PDF version here.
- We will decide if you can get legal advice based on your application form.
- This is based on financial eligibility and a means test.
- If successful, you will be placed on a Law Centre waiting list. You can view the most recent waiting times for each Centre.
- When your place is reached on this waiting list, a solicitor in the Law Centre will be assigned to your case to provide your legal advice or legal representation.
- In some cases the we also use private solicitors in certain areas of law. Information on these panels will be provided to you by the Law Centre should you be referred.
- In most cases you will have to make a payment which we call a contribution. The amount of the contribution(s) will depend on your disposable income and assets.
